We are aware of the recent credit/debit card breach at Target stores nationwide and we are working closely with our vendors to monitor the situation. At this time, we have not received specific card information from our credit card processors of accounts that could be potentially affected by the breach.
It is important to note that the Credit Union did not suffer a security breach.
In the meantime, if you shopped at a Target store from November 29 – December 15, we recommend that you keep a close eye on your debit card accounts and report any suspicious activity immediately by calling 866-295-6038.
Note: Target REDcard holders must contact Target for card re-issuance or fraud claims at 888-729-7331.
Be careful of related phishing emails
In addition to the breach itself, we have learned that phishing emails are being sent out that appear to be from Target. These emails play on the fears of the public that they may have had their card compromised. Please proceed with caution if you receive an email from Target. Do not open any links that may be included in these emails as this could potentially allow additional access to your personal information.
